Coconino County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Patch
 

There are many ways to contribute to Search and Rescue. Some members provide logistical and command support when they are unable to contribute to field work. Serving on the board, preventive search and rescue (PSAR), training other members, maintaining group equipment, and, of course, search and rescue round out the tasks the unit performs.

If you are interested in joining, visit the Coconino County Website or come to the Sheriff’s Office at 911 E. Sawmill Rd, Flagstaff to pick up an application.

In order to join, you must:

  • be able to pass a background check
  • have no previous felony convictions.
  • have no outstanding warrants.
  • be able to complete a basic membership training academy.
  • pay a yearly membership fee if accepted.
  • be physically active and fit for field work.
  • be at least 18 years old.
  • be a US Citizen or otherwise in the U.S. legally
  • be approved by the Sheriff of Coconino County after review of application
